Joint Economic Committee Meeting in Beijing

The 10th Joint Economic Committee Meeting between Czech Republic and the People’s Republic of China took place on 11th September 2015 with the participation of the Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry of the Czech Republic Jiří Havlíček. The Chinese delegation was led by the Vice Minister of Commerce Zhong Shan.
Both sides evaluated the latest developments in the Czech-Chinese economic relations and exchanged suggestions about further cooperation in the future. Emphasis was put on active cooperation in the area of investment. In the 2016 the plan is to jointly participate at a variety of trade fairs, including in the machinery and tourism sectors. Czech Republic seeks active participation in the projects of the Chinese One Belt One Road Initiative, where it can offer for instance products and services in civil aviation. The representatives of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce also expressed intentions to further open up the Chinese market to attract more Czech and other foreign investors.
