Czech Republic attracted investment at the V4 Seminar

As part of the Czech Presidency of the Visegrad Group, the Czech Embassy in Beijing took part in an investment seminar on 22nd October promoting the group of four countries – Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Hungary - as investment destinations. The seminar was part of the COIFAIR Investment Fair in Beijing, which was attended by hundreds of investors from all over China. With a CzechTourism booth, Czech Republic was also promoted as an attractive tourist destination.
The opening speech of the Czech Republic was given by the Head of the Economic Section of the Czech Embassy Klara Jurcova. Apart from investment opportunities in the Czech Republic, the Czech Embassy also presented the services of CzechInvest, which helps with identifying relevant investments in the Czech Republic. A positive reference for investing in the Czech Republic was a presentation given by the Chinese company Changhong, which manufactures LCD screens and other technology in the Czech city of Nymburk.
Presentations from other V4 members – Poland, Hungary and Slovakia – underlined the attractiveness of the whole of Central Europe as an investment destination. The seminar was followed by a B2B networking session where the Chinese participants received detailed information about specific investment projects.
