On May 11, 2012 „19th Tianjin Investment and Trade Fair/8th PECC International Trade and Investment Expo“ was opened. Commercial Section representative Sandra Lang Linkensederová was invited to join the opening ceremony by Tianjin Municipal Government Foreign Affair Office.

The trade fair presented particular parts and industrial zones of this 10 million municipality along with development plans. In the trade fair of „world opportunities“ participated around 8500 companies associated into 60 trading blocks from 18 Chinese provinces. Foreign companies from 26 countries too did not miss the opportunity to join the fair.

The topic of this year’s trade „was building platform and promotion exchange“. An ambitious construction of new financial centre in the Binhai-Rim peninsula  (so called Binhai New Area) should contribute to acomplishemnt of this aim. After building up Shenzhen Special Economic Zone and new zone in Shanghai Pudong, Tianjin is suppose to become a third engine of chinese economy.

In last five-year plan GDP annual growth of Tianjin was average 16,5% but in first quarter reached just 14% making it center of further Chinese growth. Future development of the city will be also very environmentally friendly and society needs conscious.
