Mr. Tomas Kryl held a meeting with Executive Vice governor of Sichuan Province Mr. Zhong Mian. They discussed mainly issues of cooperation between the Czech Republic and Sichuan Province, including partnership between Central Bohemian Region and Sichuan Province, trade and business relations and enhancement of tourism.

One of the main topics of the meeting was the plan to open Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Chengdu. Vice governor Zhong Mian expressed the will of the Provincial Government to support all efforts leading to the successful opening of the Czech Consulate General. Opening of the Consulate General together with already existing CzechTrade Office Chengdu shall further promote the cooperation between the Czech Republic and Sichuan province.

The participation of Czech companies in the China Food and Drink Fair in Chengdu (opening on 26^th March 2015) was also mentioned at the meeting.

During his visit Junior Deputy Minister Tomas Kryl also met with Vice-mayor of the city of Chengdu Mr. Zhu Zhihong and Director General of Foreign Affairs and Overseas Office of Sichuan provincial government Mr. Mu Xinhai.
