The Czech Republic was represented by two Czech products with so called Geographical Indications (GI) – Czech beer Budweiser and Czech Saaz hops (hops from Zatec). The acting Head of Mission (Chargé d´Affairs a. i.) of the Czech Republic attended the event.

After the kick-off event on 6 May, the GI Market Place Roadshow will then be showcased at seven different shopping malls or high end venues across Beijing during a full-weekend event in each of the remaining months of 2015. As part of the Roadshow campaign the Chinese consumer will be invited on a ‘journey of discovery’ which will include touch screen digital displays exploring each of the six main GI categories on display.

EU celebrated in Beijing not only its EU Day (9^th May), but also the 40^th Anniversary of establishment of relations with the People´s Republic of China. Both High Representative Frederica Mogherini and Vice chairman of NPC Qianba Puncog  held a speech about the EU – China relations.
