The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport of the Czech Republic annually offers 4 scholarships. The Summer Schools of Slavonic Studies offering Czech language courses are organised by several public universities in the Czech Republic.

Study courses in 2024 for applicants from the People’s Republic of China will be organised by the following Czech universities:

-           Faculty of Arts of Charles University, Prague

            (Date of Summer School: 18 July - 15 August 2024)

-           Faculty of Arts of Masaryk University, Brno
            (Date of Summer School: 20 July – 17 August 2024)

-           Faculty of Arts of Palacký University, Olomouc

            (Date of Summer School: 13 July – 11 August 2024)

The courses are designed for students in the field of Czech Studies and Slavic studies and for all those who are interested in the Czech language, literature, history and culture.

Each scholarship consists of free board and lodging, coverage of course fees and free access to cultural events which are part of the course programme.

The successful applicants will be notified directly by the individual institutions they applied for. The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Beijing can accept only printed and signed applications. Any scholarship applications sent directly to the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport or to the institution providing Summer School courses by the individual applicants will not be processed.

Please note that the Summer School courses are open also to foreign nationals who do not hold or cannot apply for the aforementioned scholarships and wish to bear the related expenses themselves. Applications are to be filed directly with the selected institution in this case.
