When planning the event, nobody expected that the main theme - lives of contemporary Chinese women according to their dreams and ambitions - would become a contrasting framework for women's suffering in war-torn Ukraine. Therefore, the afternoon began with a minute of silence not only for women - victims of aggression in Ukraine but for all women in different parts of the world, who are being deprived of the opportunity to realize their own lives according to their abilities and ideas.

The guests were welcomed by the Ambassador of the Czech Republic Mr. Vladimír Tomšík.  Subsequently, Deputy Ambassador Ivana Grollová moderated a private pre-premiere screening of the film by young Chinese director Ran Li "Till Love Do Us Part" and later a discussion with the film director Ran, with Qin Kunying (Aqin Straková) – artist, curator and director of the Czech-China Contemporary Art Museum (CCC), and with the South China Morning Post journalist Kinling Lo. Also present was a representative of one of the film's characters, actress Zhang Qing, who received sincere applause for portraying a strong dominant mother in the film. There were foreign diplomats, foreigners living in China and working in various companies or universities, along with Chinese spectators from various fields joining the discussion. Everyone was pleasantly surprised by how the film appealed to them from many angles - which was evident even from their dialog, relaxed and inspiring at the same time. The questions and comments focused on the traditional and contemporary views on the role of women in Chinese society, on the persisting stereotypes in society's social expectations from university-educated girls, on issues of equality and mutual respect in marriage, work or sport.

The official release of the film, which was partly shot in the Czech Republic during 2020, is expected at the Shanghai Film Festival in autumn 2022.

The whole afternoon event was framed by a new exhibition from the CCC collection – paintings by Aqin and ceramics by the successful Czech artist Jiří Straka who has lived and worked in China for years. The Czech participation in the Paralympics was presented, too. The afternoon also provided good occasion for promotion of Czech nano-fiber products by the Respilon company, especially anti-virus masks and anti-pollution nets for windows.
