Czech Voices in China

On October 23, an event “Czech Voices in China” to mark the 107th anniversary of the founding of Czechoslovakia took place at the Embassy. We brought together more than 100 members from the Czech community, representatives of companies, and former or current Chinese students.

It was a unique opportunity to share experience among Czechs living in different parts of China, business community and Chinese alumni of Czech universities. The opening remarks by Ambassador Martin Tomčo and Professor Shen Qian from Beijing Foreign Studies University were followed by lively discussions, focused on professional and personal ties to Czechia, as well as prospects for further cooperation in trade, education or culture. A warm atmosphere of the gathering reflected mutual understanding and a shared interest in fostering Czech-Chinese relations.
