Screening and Post-Screening Discussion of The Teacher (Učiteľka), a film by Jan Hřebejk

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Bangkok, in collaboration with the Chulalongkorn University, organized a screening and a post-screening Discussion of The Teacher (Učiteľka), a film by Jan Hřebejk.

The event took place in the Auditorium of the Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University on Wednesday 21 September 2022. It was held as the initiation event of the Visegrád Group (V4) film festival for universities.
More than 50 participants from the Chulalongkorn University, general public and the Embassies of the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and Ukraine attended the event.
The programme of the event included welcome speeches by:
- Associate Professor Suradech Chotiudompant -- Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University
- H.E. Jaroslav Auxt, the Ambassador of the Slovak Republic -- in the capacity of V4 Presidency
- H.E. Pavel Pitel, the Ambassador of the Czech Republic -- as the co-host of the event
The post-screening discussion and Q&A (in Thai and English) with:
- Ms Kunthida Rungruengkiat, Director of Progressive Movement Foundation (Educator)
- Ms Thida Plitpholkarnpim, Co-Founder of Documentary Club (Parent)
- Mr Laponpat Wangpaisit, Founder of “Bad Students” Group (Student)
- Mr Tanat Sangaramya, BALAC Student Representative
- Representatives of the Czech Embassy in Bangkok - the Ambassador H.E. Mr. Pavel Pitel and the Deputy Head of Mission Mr. Michal Sveda.
The discussion was moderated by Associate Professor Verita Sriratana, Department of English, Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University.
