On 3 February 2020, EU Ambassadors met with former Foreign Minister and Prime Minister of Turkey Ahmet Davutoglu, who in December established a new political party, the "Future Party" (Gelecek Parti). Davutoglu stressed at the meeting that one of the main topics of the new party is inclusive democracy, the return of the rule of law and the strengthening of freedoms.
