Czech Minister of the Environment Petr Hladík visited Ankara on 2 May

Czech Minister of the Environment Petr Hladík visited Ankara on 2 May together with Czech businessmen, representatives of universities and other public institutions. He met with Mehmet Özhaseki, Turkish Minister of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change, Seyit Ardiç, representative of the Union of Chambers of Commerce of Turkey (TOBB) and President of the Ankara Chamber of Commerce, and Mansur Yavaş, Mayor of Ankara. This is the first ever meeting between a Czech and a Turkish minister in the field of environment. The aim is to deepen mutual cooperation, which the Ministers confirmed by signing a Declaration of Intent to cooperate. The two countries will share their experience, particularly in the fields of water and waste management and climate protection. The visit contributed to strengthening contact and cooperation between the business communities of the two countries. Especially thanks to the business forum with the participation of specialized Czech and Turkish companies hosted by the Union of Chambers of Commerce of Turkey (TOBB).
