The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Ankara in cooperation with the Turkish and Czech rescue and disaster relief agencies and the Turkish Union of Municipalities (TBB) held a webinar on the crisis management systems of both countries with regard to the role of regional and local governments (28 April 2021).
The President of the TBB (and the Mayor of Gaziantep) Mrs. F.Sahin and the Vice President of AFAD, Mr. H.Tasdelen together with. Amb. P.Vacek addressed the webinar participants at its opening. The General Directorate of the Fire Rescue Services, the Occupational Safety Research Institute and a representative of the National Network of Local Action Groups participated on the Czech side together with the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) and TBB on the Turkish side. In a series of presentations followed by Q/A, speakers from the Czech and Turkish institutions shared their experience and views with more than 700 hundred registered participants.
