
Presentation of Copies of the Letters of Credence to the Minister of External Relations of the Republic of Cameroon

On 23 February 2022, H.E. Ambassador Zdeněk Krejčí handed over the copies of credentials in one of his countries of competence, Cameroon. Copies were handed over to the Minister of External Relations of the Republic of Cameroon, H.E. Lejeune Mbella Mbella. During his visit to Cameroon, Ambassador Krejčí, accompanied by his wife Iva Krejčová and Deputy Hana Trousilová, visited both Yaoundé and Douala. The week-long visit was a great opportunity to renew bilateral contacts and explore opportunities for cultural and trade cooperation.
In addition to the of External Relations, the Ambassador also met in Yaoundé with the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Gabriel Mbairobé, the Secretary of State for Mining and Industry Fuh Calistus Gentry and the Minister of Defense Joseph Beti Assomo. Together with the representative of the Prague Zoo, Malvína Kahleová, the delegation also met with the Minister of Culture Pierre Ismaël Bidoung Mkpatt to present the project of building a pavilion for gorillas in the Prague Zoo.
On the way from Yaoundé to Douala, Ambassador Krejčí and his entourage also visited the traditional ruler of the Bamileké ethnic group, M. Fondjo David Final, who has a very positive relationship with the Czech Republic, where he has had the opportunity to stay twice.
The delegation appreciated the work of the Chambre of Commerce Cameroon-Czech Republic to date and also visited the office of the Czech Honorary Consul in Douala, Mrs. Věra Yabéko. In Douala, the delegation also met with Minister Gervais Bindzi Edzimbi at a branch of the Ministry of External Relations.
