A group of Czech exporters led by a delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs headed by a Deputy Minister for non-European countries, economic and development affairs Mr. Ivan Jančárek, arrived for the first time in Cameroon, on December 9 - 14, 2018, in order to participate in the project supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic on economic relations development.

An important part of the program was a business seminar, which took place in the business center of Cameroon in Douala, where Czech entrepreneurs presented their companies and products to representatives of local chambers of commerce, local government, professional public, media representatives and other stakeholders. During the following B2B forum, Czech exporters had the opportunity to establish contacts with Cameroonian counterparts and to get acquainted with the details of their products. During the presentation the products and capacities of the following Czech companies were presented: Czechoslovak Group, a.s., CZUB, a.s., RETIA, a.s., VAE Controls, s.r.o., Tacticaware, s.r.o., TopGis, s.r.o., OEZ, s.r.o., LOM Praha, a.s., AQUEL, s.r.o.

The presentation was followed by a visit to the capital city of Yaoundé, where political negotiations took place at the level of the Prime Minister and Ministers of Foreign, Defense, Agriculture and Communications, in order to support the establishment of the Czech-Cameroonian trade relations in areas of interest of Czech companies. Relevant Czech exporters subsequently presented their companies to the Ministry of Defense and the Civil Aviation Authority. The whole event was actively supported by the newly established Cameroon-Czech Chamber of Commerce located in Douala. It was the first event of its kind in this sub-Saharan country with great commercial potential, which, according to both the Czech and Cameroonian sides, met with a very favorable response.
