On June 3, 2019, Czech Ambassador to Nigeria Marek Skolil attended a gala dinner hosted by the President of the Federal republic of Nigeria Muhammadu Buhari on the occasion of the end of Ramadan. The Head of Mission used the opportunity to wish the President all the best for this important Muslim holiday in the local language Hausa: "Barka da Sallah Your Excellency!"
