Award Ceremony of the Chaillot Prize 2019 for the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children (DFWAC)

The Dubai Foundation for Women and Children (DFWAC) has won the Chaillot Prize 2019, which recognises civil society organisations and public or private institutions for exceptional actions, campaigns and projects that support human rights awareness, promotion and protection in the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
The award ceremony took place in Dubai on December 10, 2019 in presence of H. E. Mr. Jiří Slavík, Ambassador of the Czech Republic. H. E. Mr. Andrea Matteo Fontana, Head of the Delegation of the European Union in the United Arab Emirates, handed over the prize to Mrs. Afra Al Basti, Director General of DFWAC.
