Celebration of the Creation of Czechoslovakia Day in Abu Dhabi

The Embassy of the Czech Republic organized a gala reception in Abu Dhabi on the occasion of the Creation of Czechoslovakia Day on October 28, 2019. The event took place in the premises of Radisson Blue Hotel Corniche.
The celebration of the creation of Czechoslovakia was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates and other Emirati institutions, members of the diplomatic community and compatriots. Our guests listened to the national anthems of the United Arab Emirates and the Czech Republic and to the anthem of the European Union.
Thereafter the speech was delivered by the Ambassador of the Czech Republic Mr. Jiří Slavík in which he emphasized the importance of October 28, 1918 in modern Czech history and appreciated the successfully developing bilateral relations between the Czech Republic and the United Arab Emirates.
As a part of the celebration of the Czechoslovakia's Day Abu Dhabi National Oil Company’s tower - one of landmarks of the city - was lit up with the colours of the Czech national flag.
