Ambassador J. Slavík visited the Umm Al Quwain Emirate, Al-Dour archaeological site

On November 12, 2019, Ambassador J. Slavík visited the Umm Al Quwajn Emirate where he was welcomed by H.H. Sheikh Majid bin Saud Al Mualla, son of the Emir, Director of the Department of Tourism and Archeology. Mr. Ismail Al Hammadi from the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development was present.
The visit took place following the meeting of the Ambassador with H. E. Mrs. Noura Al-Kaabi, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, and Mr. Salem Al-Qasimi, Deputy Minister.
The partners reiterated their interest in the work of Czech archaeologists on the Al-Dour concession, which dates back to the pre-Islamic period and whose scope offers great opportunities for cooperation.
