Czech Embassy Explores Collaboration Opportunities at “Kilikia” Brewery in Yerevan

On August 13, 2024, Czech Ambassador to Armenia, Mr. Petr Pirunčík visited “Kilikia” brewery in Yerevan. Ambassador was warmly welcomed by Mr. Ashot Baghdasaryan, General Director of “Beer of Yerevan” CJSC, and his team, who provided an insightful tour of the brewery's operations and activities.

During the visit, Ambassador Pirunčík was given a comprehensive overview of the brewery's production processes. The tour highlighted the main stages of the brewing process of “Kilikia” beer, as well as the modern bottling and packaging stages that ensure the product's high quality. The brewery’s use of contemporary machinery from NATE Chotěboř, a leading Czech company specializing in brewing technology, was particularly emphasized.

Beyond beer production, the “Kilikia” brewery has diversified its production to include a wide range of high-quality fruit jams, preserves, and compotes. This diversification enables the company to extend its operations beyond only making beer, using Armenia's rich agricultural resources.

The meeting between the Czech delegation and the management of “Beer of Yerevan” CJSC also served as a platform to discuss potential areas of future cooperation. With Czechia being renowned globally for its beer production and brewing expertise, there are significant opportunities for further collaboration. Both sides expressed interest in exploring these possibilities, particularly in terms of expanding the technological partnership and sharing best practices in brewing.
