Date: 01 December 2014 2:00 PM, Venue: Tolerance Center, Naugarduko g. 10/2, Vilnius

The Embassy of the Czech Republic, the Tolerance Center of the Vilna Gaon State Jewish Museum and the International Commission for the Evaluation of the Crimes of the Nazi and Soviet Occupation Regimes in Lithuania are coordially inviting to a projection of a documentary movie "Nicky's Family"
(2011, 96 min., English language)

The film is a gripping documentary about Sir Nicholas Winton, also known as the "British Schindler", who saved 669 Czechoslovak Jewish children in 1939  from certain death in Nazi contcentration camps. He was honoured on October 28, 2014 by President of the Czech Republic Miloš Zeman the highest Czech state decoration - The White Lion Order.

Now he is 105 years old and did not speak about these events with anyone for more than half a century. His exploits would have probably been  forgotten if his wife, fifty years later, hadn't found a suitcase in the attic, full of documents and transport plans. Nicholas Winton´s fascinating story, even 70 years after the events, continues to inspire people to make this world a better place.
