Lithuanian President met with Heads of Missions of the EU Member States

On 12 December 2012, President Gitanas Nausėda met with Ambassadors of the European Union member states residing in Lithuania.
The President and the Ambassadors discussed the forthcoming European Council meeting, support for Ukraine towards winning the war against Russia, efforts to strengthen own security and defense, lowering the prices of energy resources and other important issues on the European agenda.
“Military, financial, humanitarian, and other support for Ukraine remains our core focus. We must do everything we can to help the Ukrainians achieve victory. Only this will guarantee peace in Europe,” Gitanas Nausėda underlined.
The President also thanked the Czech Presidency of the Council of the EU for its ability to distinguish what is crucial, react quickly and push for decisions at EU level.
