Invitation to the meeting with Mrs. Květa Pacovská at the Vilnius Book Fair

The Embassy of the Czech Republic presents an unique possibility to meet Kvĕta Pacovská in Vilnius Book Fair. Kvĕta Pacovská is a world-famous Czech artist and illustrator. Working in the media of graphic art, painting, conceptual art and book design, she is a world-renowned author of tactile three-dimensional book objects issued in limited editions by leading world publishers. Her paintings, prints and paper structures were exhibited in a number of museums and galleries throughout the world such as Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris or Museum für Angewandte Kunst in Frankfurt. For her artistic work in book design she has received the main awards at important international exhibitions of book design, art and design. She won the biennial, international Hans Christian Andersen Award for Illustration in 1992, recognizing her “lasting contribution to children’s literature”. Her picture books still captivate children’s minds of all over the world with fantastic color combining, geometrical composition and unique stereoscopic beauty.
