The aim of the event, which is taking place on September 27, 2018 on the sidelines of the Third UN High-level Meeting on Non-communicable Diseases during the high-level segment of the seventy-third session of the UN General Assembly, is to underline the importance of cooperation on different levels, so that the goals of the international community on NCDs can be achieved. One of the important co-sponsors is also the Global Coordination Mechanism of the WHO. This platform is lead by Member States of the WHO and brings together also other actors, such as UN agencies, other international organizations and non-state actors. Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic has been continuously supportive of this mechanism, since it believes that truly measurable outcomes can be achieved only through participation of all relevant subjects.
