The Czech Republic addressed the UN Security Council in the Open Debate on Women, Peace and Security

On 25 October 2018, the Czech Republic participated in the Open debate of the Security Council dedicated to the Resolution 1325 Women, Peace and Security, focusing on the strengthening political and economic position of women.
Marie Chatardová, Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic to the United Nations, aligned with the Statement of the European Union and the Group of Friends of Women, Peace and Security. In the statement she called for women's participation and a full implementation of the WPS Agenda. She also underlined the steps taken by the Czech Republic in this area, such as the implementation of the National Action Plan or the implementation of projects aimed at gender equality.
