President of ECOSOC, Ambassador M. Chatardová, spoke during a special meeting of OECD and met with its Secretary-General, A. Gurría and with Director-General of UNESCO, A. Azoulay

Ambassador M. Chatardová, President of the Economic and Social Council of the UN (ECOSOC), spoke on March 14, 2018 during a special meeting of the Council of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Ambassador Chatardová also met with the Secretary-General of OECD, Mr. A. Gurría, and she also met for a business lunch with Director-General of UNESCO, Audrey Azoulay.

In her speech Ambassador Chatardová stressed that fulfillment of the ambitious 2030 Agenda will not be possible without partnership and cooperation between international organizations and private and public sectors. She mentioned the report of the UN Secretary-General from 2017 on fulfilling the SDGs, which shows that despite progress in certain areas, there are still plenty of tasks remaining. M. Chatardová also spoke about special events organized by the Czech presidency in ECOSOC, which aim at successful fulfillment of the 2030 Agenda.
