President of ECOSOC, Ambassador M. Chatardová, spoke during the multi-stakeholder forum in preparation of the 62nd session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW62)

President of the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations (ECOSOC), Ambassador M. Chatardová, spoke during the closing session of the multi-stakeholder forum on January 25, 2018 in preparation of the 62nd session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW62), which will be held in New York on March 12 and March 13, 2018.

Ambassador Chatardová stressed that the empowerment of rural women and girls and the realization of their human rights are crucial to the achievement of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. President also expressed hope that the discussion during the multi-stakeholder forum will inform the deliberations during the CSW62 and will result in action-oriented outcome.
