President of ECOSOC, Ambassador M. Chatardová, spoke during OECD event in Paris on October 27

President of the UN Economic and Social Council, Mrs. Marie Chatardová, spoke during an event jointly organized by the Organization for Economic Co-Operation and Development (OECD) and the French Development Agency (AFD) in Paris on October 27, 2017. Ambassador Chatardová also met with the Secretary General of OECD, Mr. Angel Gurría.
President of ECOSOC, Ambassador Chatardová, was invited to speak during a joint event of OECD and AFD on Sustainable Development Goal 17 named “Policy Coherence, the SDGs and the UN 2030 Agenda”, mainly concerned with macroeconomic stability and policy coherence in connection with development. Ambassador Chatardová spoke mainly about the lessons UN Development Cooperation Forum drew from recent trends and stressed especially the ownership of governments, continuing central role of Official Development Assistance and the need for close cooperation and alignment amongst all stakeholders.
