President of ECOSOC addressed the representatives of the European Union

On Friday, September 22nd, President of ECOSOC, H.E. Mrs. Marie Chatardová, addressed the meeting of directors and representatives of the member states of the United Nations Working Party of the European Union (CONUN) at the premises of the EU Delegation in New York.
M. Chatardová briefed the Member States on the priorities of her presidency and the priority of the Czech Republic, which is “Towards sustainable, resilient and inclusive societies through participation of all”. The president underlined her strong focus on SDG 16, which stands for peace, justice and strong institutions. As she pointed out, leaving no one behind is the key to a better society. She also expressed her believe that the Czech priority for ECOSOC is in line fully with other international organizations, including the EU.
