President of ECOSOC addressed Annual Ministerial Meeting of Least Developed Countries (LDCs)

The Annual Ministerial of the Least Developed Countries (LDCs) meeting took place on Friday, September 22nd in New York. The Permanent Mission of Bangladesh convened the meeting to discuss effective and timely implementation of the 2030 Agenda and Istanbul Programme of Action for the Least Developed countries (LDCs).
In her speech, President of ECOSOC, H.E. Mrs. Marie Chatardová, outlined ways of how ECOSOC helps the LDCs with the implementation of the 2030 Agenda. She reiterated her commitment to leave no country behind, wherever they might be in the path towards sustainable development. The other panelist included Deputy Secretary General Amina Mohamed, President of General Assembly Miroslav Lajčák, administrator of UNDP Achim Steiner, and foreign ministers of Turkey and Bangladesh.
