Preparing for the 20th anniversary of 1325 on Women, Peace and Security

Ambassador Marie Chatardová pledged commitments on behalf of the Czech Republic at the high – level side event organized by the Germany, the United Kingdom and UN Women on the margins of the Open Debate on Conflict-Related Sexual Violence on April 23, 2019 in the Security Council.
For the Czech Republic the Women, Peace and Security agenda is one of our priorities. We have identified two commitments in preparation for the upcoming anniversary of the Resolution.
First, we pledge that the Czech National Action Plan 2017-2020 and its implementation will undergo an expert review. The results will be used in the proces of developing the National Action Plan 2020-2025.
Second, we pledge that the Czech National Action Plan 2020-2025 will include specific targets and indicators. A meaningful involvement of CSOs, including academics, will be ensured through the process of its development.
