Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic to the UN addressed two UN youth conferences in Prague

Ambassador Marie Chatardová addressed the Model UN Conference and Prague Student Summit on April 6 and April 7, 2017 in Prague, where she introduced active policies of the Czech Republic in the United Nations to high school students.

Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic to the United Nations in New York, Marie Chatardová, spoke at the opening ceremony of the Model of the United Nations Conference in Prague on April 6, 2017. This model session for high school students with international participation named PORGMUN 2017 simulates general sessions of the UN bodies and other international subjects took place in the Prague town hall. Student participants discussed wide array of subjects on agenda of the United Nations and the adopted model “resolutions” will be submitted to the UN Secretariat in New York.

Ambassador Chatardová also addressed the Prague Student Summit on April 7, 2017. This conference was about the inner works of the United Nations, NATO, Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) and European Union and took place in hotel Ambassador in Prague. This event aimed to prepare the students for the work in international organizations.

Ambassador Chatardová was speaking about active policies of the Czech Republic within the UN framework and the current vice-presidency of the Czech Republic in the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) during both events.
