Ocean Conference: National statement of the Czech Republic delivered by Ambassador M. Chatardová

The UN Ocean Conference took place at the New York headquarters of the United Nations on June 5-9, 2017. The statement of the Czech Republic in the plenary was delivered by the Permanent Representative, Ambassador Marie Chatardová.

In her statement, Ambassador Chatardová underscored that a solution to the state of our oceans and seas can only be found via collective action of all countries and other stakeholders.

The conference was initiated by Sweden and Fiji in cooperation with the President of the General Assembly. The meeting culminated in adoption of a declaration named Call for Action.
