Meeting of the Ad Hoc Committee on cybercrime

The Ad Hoc Committee on cybercrime, which is tasked with elaborating a Comprehensive International Convention on Countering the Use of Information and Communications Technologies for Criminal Purposes, holds its third session between August 29 and September 9, 2022 in New York. The delegates of the UN member states discuss questions relating to international cooperation, technical assistance, preventive measures and mechanism of implementation, which could form part of the future convention. The Czech delegation consists of the representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Justice, The Prosecutor General’s Office and the National Cyber and Information Security Agency.

Czechia has an open and flexible approach toward the negotiation process and believes it should result in a convention which would serve as an effective tool for practitioners in the global fight against cybercrime.
