High-Level Round Table Discussion on Financing for Development

The Czech Republic in cooperation with the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) organized a High-Level Round Table Discussion titled “From Development Finance to Financing for Development: Policy Alignment and Accountability in Support of Resources for SDG17”. The table discussion took place on the margins of the ECOSOC High-Level Political Forum on Thursday, July 13.
Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic, H.E. Mrs. Marie Chatardová, presented her opening remarks at the event, where attendees also heard from representatives of Denmark, China, United Nations Secretariat, OECD and other distinguished speakers. During her remarks, Ambassador Chatardová spoke about the new development strategy of the Czech Republic, which could serve as a model to revitalizing the global partnership for development (SDG 17). They key to successful cooperation is always an honest debate with the broadest possible number of stakeholders in the process.
