High-Level Political Forum side-event on sustainable fashion

President of the Economic and Social Council of the UN (ECOSOC), Ambassador M. Chatardová opened a side-event on sustainable fashion and the sustainable development goals (SDGs) organized by UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs and the UN Commission for Europe on July 10, 2018 at the UN Headquarters.

Fashion is a global $2.5 trillion-dollar industry employing more than 75 million people worldwide and most of them women. In her speech, President of the ECOSOC commended the forming UN Partnership on sustainable fashion.
