"Flying Doctors" Exhibition at the United Nations

On Tuesday, June 11, 2019, an opening reception was held at the UN Headquarters in New York to mark the opening of the “Flying Doctors” exhibition. The exhibition is organized in cooperation with the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic and the Permanent Mission of the Czech Republic to the United Nations in New York on the margins of the Annual Session of the UNICEF Executive Board.

Ambassador Marie Chatardová opened the reception followed by Václav Bálek, Director of the Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic. Among the guests present were Ambassadors, diplomats as well as representatives of NGOs.

The Flying Doctors exhibition captures the activities of MEDEVAC and Aid in Place, through which the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic provides medical care and assistance to people fleeing war or disadvantaged people in developing countries. The exhibition was organized as a side event on the margins of the Annual Session of the UNICEF Executive Board, which takes place from 11 to 13 June 2019, and was then moved to the premises of the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in New York.
