Czech Republic took part in the general debate of the seventy-third session of the UN General Assembly

First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Tomáš Petříček, participated in part of the first week of the seventy-third session of the UN General Assembly, and took part in two high-level sessions of the UN Security Council on weapons of mass destruction, spoke during an European Union event on Syrian Crisis, attended the transatlantic dinner organized by the Secretary of State of the United States and the Central European Initiative lunch of Ministers of Foreign Affairs, and met with the Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Wess Mitchell.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Tomáš Kaucký, was a member of the Czech Republic delegation at the beginning of the week and he represented the Czech Republic on a summit to commemorate Nelson Mandela on September 24, 2018 and attended the first day of UN GA general debate a day later. He also represented the Minister of Foreign Affairs during the European Union Foreign Affairs Council meeting and the meeting of Foreign Affairs Ministers of the Visegrad Group countries.
