Czech Youth Delegates Petra Sýkorová and David Ulvr Addressed the United Nations

The Youth Delegates of the Czech Republic for the period 2017-2018, Petra Sýkorová and David Ulvr, participated in the general discussion of the Social, Cultural and Humanitarian Committee of the General Assembly held on October 3, 2017 in UN Headquaters in New York.

In their speech, they pointed out the key role that today’s youth can play in social development. They called upon the need of inclusive and non-discriminatory involvement of youth in decision-making process at all levels, irrespective of age, ethnicity or religion.

The project of Youth Delegates is organized by the Czech Council of Children and Youth, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports. The aim is to give voice to the young generation on international level and connect young people with the United Nations.
