Speaking on behalf of the Czech Republic and its youth, they emphasized human rights priorities of Czech foreign policy and reminded the Committee of the pivotal role of Czech and Slovak youth in the country’s seminal events of the past century. They called for recognition of innovative capacities of young people and highlighted the necessity of changing youth participation in public affairs as well as the necessity of reforming the education system. In crafting their speech, they used reports from previous youth delegates and results of the ‘Structured Dialogue with Youth’ project.
