Czech Republic on nuclear and conventional weapons in the UN General Assembly

On October 20 and 26, 2015, during the meetings of the First Committee (Disarmament and International Security) of the 70th Session of the UN General Assembly, the delegation of the Czech Republic delivered two statements in its national capacity that complemented the joint statements on behalf of the EU and its Member States.
 

 

The national statement in thematic discussions on nuclear weapons was delivered by H.E. Mrs. Edita Hrda, Permanent Represenative to the UN, while the statement in thematic discussions on conventional weapons was made by Mr. Vaclav Balek, Head of Unit for Disarmament and Non-proliferation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.
