Permanent Mission of the Czech Republic to the United Nations together with the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) organized a side event on holistic approach to Financing for Development, which took place on April 23, 2018 on the sidelines of the Forum on Financing for Development (FfD).
This event on best practices of the OECD members in advancing the holistic approach to FfD aimed to support the work of the UN Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) by identifying the FfD catalyzers across all levels of governments, actors and resources. The event was opened by the President of the Economic and Social Council of the UN, Ambassador M. Chatardová, who emphasized that if there is to be requisite Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) financing, we must fully consider all possible trade-offs and synergies between all resources, actors and goals. In her words, the OECD represented by the Director of Development, Mr. da Silva, has set out to bring empirical knowledge into these interconnections.
