Ambassador Marie Chatardová referred on the results of this year’s alignment process

Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic to the UN, Marie Chatardová, together with the Permanent Representative of Timor-Leste to the UN, Maria Helena Lopes de Jesus Pires, met with the seventy-third President of the UN General Assembly, María Fernanda Espinosa Garcés, to personally inform her about the results of this year’s alignment process of agendas of the intergovernmental agencies of the UN with Agenda 2030. This process is a part of the overall revitalization process of the UN General Assembly.

President of the UN General Assembly thanked both co-facilitators for concrete and specific results achieved this year, especially on mapping the intergovernmental agendas on each SDG and defining possible criteria to determine duplications and overlaps between intergovernmental bodies. She also wowed her support to include the results into the resolution on revitalization, which is currently being negotiated.
