Ambassador Marie Chatardová addressed the opening session of the Committee for Social Development

Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic to the UN Marie Chatardová, in her capacity as ECOSOC President, addressed the 56th session of the Committee for Social Development.
Ambassador Chatardová stressed the important role of the Commission for Social Development in implementing Agenda 2030. She congratulated Commission on selecting priority theme Strategies for eradicating poverty to achieve sustainable development for all. Outcomes of the meeting will contribute to the agenda of the forthcoming High Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development, to be held in New York in July. The opening panel has also been addressed by the Deputy UN Secretary-General Amina J. Mohamed.
