Ambassador M. Chatardová, President of ECOSOC, opened the side event on drug control treaty compliance

President of the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), Ambassador M. Chatardová, opened a side event organized by the International Narcotics Control Board (INCB) entitled “Drug control compliance, human rights and the Sustainable Development Goals”, which took place on the sidelines of the Coordination and Management Meeting of ECOSOC on July 3, 2018 in New York.

Ambassador Chatardova highlighted the important links between drug control policy and the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). She also praised the focus on human rights in the work of the INCB and especially noted the efforts to strengthen cooperation with civil society.
