Ambassador Chatardová, President of ECOSOC, opened the luncheon organized by the Friends of Monterrey Group

President of the Economic and Social Council of the UN (ECOSOC), Ambassador M. Chatardová, spoke during the luncheon organized by the Friends of Monterrey Group on July 18, 2018. The luncheon aimed to strengthen cooperation and coherence between the Financing for Development (FfD) Forum and the High-Level Political forum linking development financing with achievement of sustainable development goals (SDGs).
Ambassador Chatardová emphasized the increasing complexity of achieving SDGs and the need to unite all global actors in support of the accelerated push to achieve Agenda 2030. In this regard she stressed the role of predictable financing especially for those, who lag in implementing the SDGs and are most vulnerable.
