Ambassador Chatardová, President of ECOSOC, opened the third SDG Business Forum

President of the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations (ECOSOC), Ambassador M. Chatardová, opened the third SDG Business Forum together with the Deputy Secretary-General, Ms. A. Mohammed. This event fostering public-private dialogues and partnerships in pursuit of implementation of the sustainable development goals (SDGs) took place in New York on July 17, 2018.
President Chatardová emphasized the crucial role of businesses and private sector in ensuring sustainable consumption patterns, which are at the core of the path toward implementation of the SDGs. She encouraged all participants to foster mutual trust between public and private sector and to find ways, in which businesses can contribute to more resilient and inclusive societies.
