The President of Mongolia U. Khurelsukh met with the President of the Czech Republic

The President of Mongolia met with the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, on September 21, 2023 during the 78th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New-York.

The parties agreed that it is desirable to further develop traditional and friendly relations and actively promote bilateral and multilateral cooperation. The President of Mongolia expressed his gratitude for the support to start the program to reintroduce the wild horse to its native land, emphasizing that it is a symbol of the relationship between the two countries. In 1992, the Czech side brought the first 16 horses from the Prague Zoo to the Hustain Mountains in the Central Province, and since then, several projects have been implemented.

President Peter Pavel said that there is an opportunity to expand the relations and cooperation between the two countries in the fields of defense, security and culture, and invited them to visit their country next year and participate in the opening of an exhibition about the Mongolian Empire. More than 12,000 Mongolian citizens live in the Czech Republic, and the Agreement on Social Security between Mongolia and the Czech Republic has been in effect since March of this year.
