Mongolian President visited the Czech Republic

Prague, March 9-12, 2025

At the invitation of Czech President Petr Pavel, Mongolian President Khürelsükh Ukhnaa made a state visit to the Czech Republic. This event marks the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

During the visit, President Khürelsükh met with President Pavel, Senate President Miloš Vystrčil, Prime Minister Petr Fiala, and other Czech officials. Several key agreements were signed, focusing on cooperation in education, law, agriculture, environmental protection, and security.

The main highlights of the visit included official talks between the presidents, signing important agreements, and promoting economic and cultural cooperation. Key agreements included:

  • Joint Declaration on Comprehensive Partnership between Mongolia and the Czech Republic, signed by the foreign ministers of both countries.
  • Police Cooperation Agreement, aimed at sharing expertise in criminology and combating organized crime.
  • An Education Agreement, providing Mongolian students with greater opportunities to study at Czech universities.
  • Memorandum on Agricultural Cooperation, supporting technology exchange and the export of Mongolian products to Europe.
  • An Environmental Protection Agreement, focused on protecting the critically endangered wild Bactrian camel.

During the visit, a business forum was held, attended by over 100 entrepreneurs, along with a concert by the Mongolian Morin Khuur Orchestra.
