Czech Chamber of Commerce Mission to Mongolia deepens ties in infrastructure, healthcare, and labour mobility

A business mission of the Czech Chamber of Commerce, led by Vice-President Radek Jakubský, took place in Mongolia on 12–18 October 2025. The visit met its objectives by showcasing Czech technological and industrial capabilities, expanding networks in Ulaanbaatar and in Dornogovi aimag, and opening concrete follow-up tracks in urban infrastructure, healthcare, and labour mobility. The Czech presence also benefited from timing overlap with the first EU–Mongolia Business and Investment Forum, reinforcing visibility and complementarity with the EU’s Global Gateway framework.
The programme opened with a “Doing Business in Mongolia” seminar hosted by EuroChamber Mongolia together with the Mongolian Investment and Trade Agency. Company visits followed at Chinggis Brewery, the new importer of Pilsner Urquell, and at the Talkh Chikher bakery. Two business forums with B2B sessions were organised in Ulaanbaatar on 14 October and in Sainshand, Dornogovi, on 15 October, where the delegation was received by the aimag governor. Altogether, more than sixty Mongolian participants attended the fora.
Synergies with the EU–Mongolia Business and Investment Forum (15–16 October, Shangri-La Hotel) extended the reach of the mission; Czech firms Transcon and Komfi took part in the Forum. Among commercial milestones, Dr. Müller Pharma formally entered the Mongolian market by opening its local branch in Ulaanbaatar on 16 October. The ribbon was cut by CEO Dr. Vladimír Müller together with Branch Director Ms. Gantsetseg Tsogoo and Vice-President Jakubský; the ceremony directly preceded the Czech National Day reception, which the company significantly supported. On 17 October, a wastewater treatment plant at the Shevro tannery was inaugurated, delivered by Khaanzaa under the leadership of Mr. Novotný.
Engagement with the Ulaanbaatar City Administration on 17 October, including a meeting with the City’s Chief Architect, Ms. Ch. Tögsdėlger, highlighted a portfolio of twenty-four priority projects in transport and urban infrastructure, including preparations for metro and tram solutions. These discussions laid practical foundations for sectoral follow-ups with Czech partners.
Labour mobility was a substantive track of the mission. The Embassy arranged meetings for Czech personnel agencies at the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection on 14 October and hosted an interactive session on 17 October with local agencies and a Ministry expert. The dialogue mapped current regulatory and operational conditions for recruitment, providing a basis for more effective fulfilment of Czech quotas while drawing on Mongolia’s experience with the Republic of Korea and Japan.
The delegation comprised fifteen Czech companies with more than twenty representatives. The Embassy thanks all partners and counterparts for their cooperation and will continue to support Czech exporters and investors in Mongolia.
