The Czech Cup handed over to the winner of the November Sumo Tournament in Tokyo

On November 22, 2020, the final of the November Sumo Grand Tournament took place in Ryogoku Kokugikan, Tokyo. The winner Takakeisho received a diploma and a hand-cut Cup, made of the world-renowned Czech crystal, from the hands of a representative of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Tokyo.
According to long tradition, established in 1970, the Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Japan hands a diploma and a hand-cut crystal Cup over to the winner of the Grand Sumo Tournament. This time, the Czech Ambassador Martin Tomčo was deputized by Mr. Ondřej Svoboda, an economic diplomat of the Embassy, during the final ceremony.
Ozeki Takakeisho won the dramatic final against komusubi Terunofuji, pushing his rival out of the ring.
